words drip from her lips like angry brown goo from a victim of montezuma's revenge

Ew ew EW.
Anyway, what do Spiders know about it? Nothing comes out of your body that can't be used to focus coherent light or build space elevators. :)

spiders watch, spiders observe

and spiders like to spin language!

spider metabolism is efficient but spiders may know the occasional trouble with foreign intestinal flora.

(Now I imagine Asteroid Spiders being stolen and used as happy engineer servitors for someone else's grand space-construction plans. The Lunarian space catapult, to gently drop care packages down to the confused inhabitants of old Earth, wrapped in entry coccoons of the finest starsilk, flung along rails of the infinitely complex molecules spun by Spider guts...)

That must be tragic. I realize this isn't quite biologically correct, but I picture a Spider helplessly dribbling silk and getting hopelessly tangled while her egg-sisters gather nearby, unable to contain jeweled giggles at her misfortune. :)

What an excellent idea! By all means let's send some foreign aid and benign memetic weaponry to those poor benighted Earthers. The state of their porn industry alone... *shudder* And all the better if we can use wibble-locked Spiders to do it. :)

no clue what this is about, but the wording isn't flowing to my 'ear', i think this:

"...words drip from her lips like Montezuma's revenge"

has a smoother cadence and still makes all the same imagery points - and rather disturbing imagery, i might add. cool turn of phrase though. ^_^

It was supposed to have a sort of Burroghsian cadence.

Ooooh. *covet*

I may have to examine those shots and make some of my own! (cheaper, more fun.) I especially like his choice of decoration for the mannequin head.

Thank God Lennon didn't go with the first draft of Across the Universe.

But ... People suffering from that drown in a mess of white-green slime, not brown ooze... That's something else, I am sure of it...

The important question is do they now become mushroom people?

And I wished her ears were snails as her lobes started to crunch between my teeth, salty and dry...
