mm. On a conversation-spun whim I was looking at FC's pages. One of these days I'll actually decide to go to a con far enough in advance to have some damn art in its show. Not this year; it's allll sold out. I don't think I'll ever manage to have a dealer's table, though. Competition for those is fierce and I can't see myself selling enough prints and badges and sketchbooks to make it worth it, not when I don't own any Prismacolor markers that aren't black.

And you even have to apply in advance these days to be in the Artist's Alley. Er, "Furry Market Place". That con's gotten big.

Maybe I should try showing some stuff at Arisia instead. Though rule #3 is kind of a sticking point for me.

Well, it looks like FC will have more equitable dealer's room signups for 2008, by postal lottery (no applications will be taken which are postmarked before 4/1/07).

Before, the best way to get a dealer's table was to be able to afford the fee cash-up-front ON the Saturday of the con itself, one year in advance.

Yeah. That method was a strong pressure for the successful dealers.

Erf. Me and Sammi were originally going to go in on an Artist's Alley table, but I don't think anything wound up happening on her end and I know I didn't move my butt on it - so I think we lost out.

I suspect our days in the Doubletree are numbered - the convention is just that large, and the hotel's current management have gotten really hostile to us freaks. Thankfully I'm not on the front lines of whatever's going on there.

I wonder if/when FC will move into a convention center, like AC did...

Oh Heavens! You need to write out a notarized statement. Woe is you!

I wonder how many notaries you already have on your friend's list?

Despite being a royal pain in the butt, rule number 3 makes fine sence to me. It says "This is the place for the serious furry smut collector."
