a pleasantly wasted day

Went out with hatch and prickvixen and beatriceowl. We had no plan other than go to Bob's Big Boy for food, then do... something. The giant statue of the Big Boy is missing.

We ended up depositing beatriceowl's bags (she's visiting for the weekend) at the Roosevelt Hotel at the base of Hollywood, then just walking down Hollywood to the end of the stars and back. Along this journey we talked about assorted stuff and coveted a bunch of boots.

We also saw the star for the Rugrats.

The Bugrats have a star.

We stomped on it.

And spat on it.

Spitting on the Bugrats' star on Hollywood Boulevard is an experience that is far more satisfying than it should be. I heartily recommend it.

Stomping on Leslie Nielsen's star while shouting "Stop making crap movies!" was satisfying too.

I could have pointed out some of the other more egregious examples. It's amusing to see how more than half the stars are for people that nobody has never heard of. A wonderful commentary on the transitive nature of fame. And ugly, too.

Say, I'm kinda new at this Live Journal thing. Can we say the F word and the S word and use harsh language? I never did read the contract. Are they gonna bleep my words and show the LJ logo, like ABC does on Jimmy Kimmel Live almost every night? Go Jimmy!

You can say fuck and shit and anything you like, as far as I know. The Terms of Service do say you may not 'upload, post or otherwise transmit any content that is in LiveJournal.com’s opinion to be unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive to another’s privacy (up to, but not excluding any address, email, phone number, or any other contact information with out the written consent of the owner of such information), hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable', but nowhere is 'volgar' or 'obscene' defined. The ToS is probably applied only if someone else bitches; as far as I'm concerned, the occasional 'fuck' or 'shit' or whatnot is perfectly fine.

The track I was listening to is something I got on one of my rare bits of P2P music piracy. I think it's an early EP... there's seven tracks, half of which have Major Arcana names, and it's all rather less polished than their later stuff.
