Checked out a photo shop nearby today. Had a brief and friendly discussion with the guy.
I begin to think printing's just going to be more than I was hoping it'd be, no matter what. However, I asked when I got in to work today, and I'm going to use Spümcø's color printer to do some letter-sized prints of some of the stuff, so that's cool. Bring it down to larger prints of just a few images. Must choose carefully.

Date: 2004-05-27 10:16 am (UTC)Need to talk with you about the prints. Got some done, ran into some snags on others. Need to stuff 'em in the mail today if you want them in time. An address would be helpful. So would a quick chat about some of the color setups. :)

Date: 2004-05-27 11:05 pm (UTC)I think, by the way, that end-to-end color correcting works: once I turned off black point compensation on the copy of PS at work (older version, different set of profiles), the only one that looked a little weird was one originally done without a profile. My stuff printed out in a visible inkjet dithering on cheap paper gets a very neat textured look that I try to subtly add... art prints may be fun. "No, I want to see some of the process, and have textury paper."
