egypturnashI just figured out how to take a scan into AI and apply color to areas of it. Like if I wanted to have actual inks and tone the lines, instead of doing my full-on no-outlines AI thing. Just put the greyscale scan in the opacity mask of a layer, then draw shapes in the layer!
This will be good for toning quickies without having to beat myself against Photoshop. Which I just do not get along with for anything much beyond scanning.
