Browsing art-related message boards. So many topics are "how do I do this?" "how do I do that?" "how do I do this?".
And half the time the same two answers apply: RTFM, or Analyze Photo Reference.
And I keep being a helpful, wise, nice person and either telling the person what feature they want to use, or repeating "use photo ref". I don't usually go so far as to hunt down photo ref, as people are likely to do on the Yerf how-to board.
After a while, though, I just want to smack some of these people and say "Look at the other damn posts some, the same damn question just got worked to death in another thread! And no, I won't give you a link - do some fucking research, you funktard!"
The other half of the questions usually are answered in one word: "Practice".
Why do I keep replying to these sorts of threads?
Maybe I need to persuade the people who run these various boards to add hooks for this to 'em and at least get some proto-Whuffie out of it.
