deluges of comments and blood
Apr. 20th, 2005 10:49 pmSo some people I know who have LJs don't really interact with them - they write in it, people watch and comment, and they don't participate in the discussion much. Others get in there and debate with the people who comment.
Ursula Vernon is pretty much the former kind of user. She's got a lot of people watching her for her entertainment value. And sometimes she touches a nerve and the comments blossom, because everyone just has to express their opinion on her subject.
This morning, she ranted about tampons. And got over a hundred comments on the things. All seem to be in agreement that it's a pretty unpleasant business, and that the whole marketing thing behind them makes them feel pretty unpleasant.
All in all, reading that entry and skimming its comments made me really, really glad I don't have a womb and never will.
