These are plucked from the photos [livejournal.com profile] koogrr took at the show. As usual with lj-hosted stuff, bigger shots are a couple of clicks away.

If you missed the opening (Charles? Jill?), there's a group going to the gallery next Wednesday, the 10th. I'll be there.

People checking out the poster. And remember, if you'd like a copy of the poster yourself, you can wait until the end of the month for the remaining signed and numbered ones to come back from the gallery, or you can get one hot off [livejournal.com profile] tugrik's printer here...

That red hair sure does stand out in a crowd, doesn't it?

And it was pretty crowded.

Here's Anya Weber reading away. The deck she's using was purchased later that evening.

Me, my mom, and the show title!

There was a mini-bar way in the back. I just grabbed stuff like ginger ale. Some people obviously had much harder things.

I think these people mostly wanted to know what my medium was. I can't remember. I spent a lot of time talking to the viewers!

Next best thing to having been there!

About the only way that first picture could have been better is if it were from a lower vantage point, to get that feeling of forward motion. There you are, plowing through a crowd with red hair and a purpose. Very nice.

I think my purpose was either 'get more to drink' or 'go pee'.

Couldn't make the show, but got the poster!

Fedex dropped off the poster I ordered from [livejournal.com profile] tugrik this morning, and it's even better than I pictured it. I can only imagine how stunning these look at their gallery sizes. I had to carefully stow it back in its tube before I gave in to the urge to hug it. Time to find a frame so I can hang it prominently in my office at home.

Thank you for the huge amount of hard work. Having the deck looming large on my wall will not only beautify the office, it'll be an inspiration for my own work.

You're welcome! And thanks for helping to make this whole thing have a chance of breaking even.

Speaking of the show and posters...I will be ordering mine when my next paycheck comes in, which I suppose will be next Friday. I've got barely over $100 in my account right now that I'd like to keep as a buffer, but I'm definitely looking forward to a poster. Will it be too late to get a signed one?

No - and actually, if you want a signed one, you pretty much need to wait until the end of the month, when I get everything back from the gallery including unsold posters.

She did a pretty good job raising a difficult kid, I think. And she has been amazingly supportive of things like the transition and the threesome: as long as I'm happy, she's cool with it all.

Thanks! I really have trouble telling, sometimes - looking at photos of me is like looking at my own art was for the longest time; all I see is the flaws.
