Cashflow is a little sluggish and I need to replace this power brick ASAP, so I'm going to try an experiment and do some icon commissions.

I'm allocating three slots, $30 apiece. They'll be along the same lines as the one I did last week. LJ's 100x100 is my default assumption but other sizes are cool too.

You'll get the image rendered cleanly to a gif/jpeg/png as appropriate, and a pdf copy of the Illustrator source file. Payment by digital means only (PayPal, etc); image delivery by the end of the week (but probably sooner). I'll want text and image reference, and some idea of where to aim with the icon - a mood, a color, a context, whatever.

If this goes well there may be a few more rounds, so don't fret if you miss this chance!

How about something female-esque in oranges with an upward movement.

Ooh, yeah. IIRC there was something about you wanting icons of a particular character you had at the time; reference never got to me. I'm assuming that one's cycled out as these things do; any kind of direction on the character for this besides 'femmy'?

I was posting from my mom's cousin Judy's computer, on which I didn't want to do anything more involved than read LJ, and which I wouldn't have access to a couple days after I posted that comment anyway. :} But I'm back home now!

BTW, in the airport I saw a brief clip on CNN of someone with pink hair in a car, and I thought, "What's Peggy done now?" Turned out it was Britney Spears impersonating you.

I'm done for now - I've got one more to go from sketch to image that wasn't transacted here in LJ - but I'll probably do it again in a couple weeks.

They don't fill up within minutes of the post like some folks's do when they say 'I'm doing ten $5 icons!', so it's not too tight a competition. I'll ping you with a comment here when I'm doing 'em again so you can get in on it early.
