sketchbook (1/3)
Jan. 9th, 2007 07:08 pmSketch dump! We ended up at Bill and Evan's place last night. As is usual, after a while I just kinda withdrew into my sketchbook.
Not so much on the spiders this time. I think I've decided I have enough spider-girl sketches to work on right now! That said, the first thing is still a spider...

I really like this one. She may live alongside the space spiders. She probably preys on them or something. In a way they like, of course. Spiders are creepy.

This is faintly based on Bill's cat.

Shy spider!

Discussion about mind-fuck movies. Me going literal.

Date: 2007-01-10 02:59 pm (UTC)The wide-angle mostly comes from accident - I draw a cool figure, then I want to do more BG than I have room for. So I have to use a kind of fish-eye lens to get a sense of setting in around it. This works against my desire to have the rhythms of empty space, of course. It all balances somehow...
