This is an excellent magazine illustration to a story I haven't read yet. Obvious things are happening and strange things are happening. 8) Ken Fletcher
This turned out really cool, and it came as a surprise... thank you. *hug* I'm not entirely sure what's going on in it, but I imagine that's the idea. :) I find myself trying to mentally reconstruct the rightmost figure in the same way I would a Salvador Dali painting. And the leftmost figure is so appropriately iconic, like essence of prickvixen. I should do more silhouettes, and more loose stuff generally. *grin*
I had a clear narrative in my head as I drew it, but it kinda got lost on the way out. Mnemora and Arial in conflict with Kelvin in one of her more occasionally spiky modes: on the left, Mnemora or Arial is debating if she feels like taking up the seduction offer; on the right, Arial or Mnemora is trying to deal with her after she's dissipated into a swarm of bees. Or wasps. Stinging insects, to be sure.
Because of my monitor, the slight aura around the foreground figure is yellow on one side and that sort of washed-purple on the other, and at first I thought it was something you deliberately added. I'm going to have to try actually doing that now. :)
we tend to prefer the termzzz "mercurial" or "evanezzcent'. buzz.
I was thinking about doing some weird color effects along those lines, but they didn't quite work. This one really relies on what I think may well be a bug in how AI processes colors! The aura/blur around the fg is all done in transparent tints of the yellowbrownblack of the right side.
