More explorations into Op techniques...

Rainbow Serpent

Not as eye-searing as I hoped. It went its own direction.

[ addendum: decided to stick one of the variants I used for reducing eyestrain while still seeing the overall feel of it in a comment. Color changes everything. ]

The overall radial part is still pretty eye-hurting, though. :)

It's plenty eye-searing. Trust me. @_@ *replaces her fried optic nerves*

There were a bunch of routes I didn't go down. Ultimately I dropped almost everything I tried to do to the part of the serpent in the center.

This variant is partially the result of me making some alternate layers and color choices so I could work on it without extreme optic pain. Op art fights back.

What would it be like with polychromatic eye searing colours ?

Same issue as your last picture...

...for some reason your webserver doesn't want to serve that image all in one batch. =o.O=

Tried wget, firefox, Konqourer, everything I could think of short of loading a Mac emulator to run it under Safari. Keep having to request it about 4k at a time or the download just stalls out.

Measurements of city sound would seem so much more violent than this. '.'

Nice. Looking up and across the sky from the bottom of a downtown city street.

I could read all kinds of things into this, but I doubt they're there!

Maybe it's Ouroboros releasing its tail, symbolising that some cycle has been broken. Like the cycle of life and death. Or a motorcycle.

This is so cool, though. It has implied lines in the extreme. So many explicit lines and not one of them actually identifies an edge. I love it!

Looks wonderful! But then, you know I like snakes.

Oh YEAH! And I like the black and white; that (lack of) color choice reminds me of the Sea of Holes in "Yellow Submarine," which is pretty close to my favorite part of that movie.

Interesting! Looking at this for a moment does odd things to my eyes; I see colours,(mainly blue, violet and yellow)and strange waving patterns...
"Rainbow serpent" is a suitable name for this!
