Jul. 31st, 2002 08:09 amI dreamed that
tugrik was, in actuality, Eddie Fitzgerald.
(Addendum: Eddie is one of the people who worked on the original Ren & Stimpy. He looks nothing at all like Tugrik. Eddie's most memorable feature is his amazing laugh.)

Date: 2002-07-31 04:51 pm (UTC)Eddie is the third from the right, squatting on the right side of that painting.
(We have no idea who did that painting. It appeared outside of a place just down the street from Spümcø one day.)

Date: 2002-09-09 08:07 pm (UTC)I had heard John moved(back)to Canada, so I thought maybe Spumco went Lock Stock & 2 Smoking barrels with him; I'm glad it hasn't(I'll bet you are too). Why on earth has the website just...vanished? I guess that's why I thought the whole place had moved. Does John commute back and forth? Are you doing character layouts, or boards, or-? on R&S? I have got to go over & look at your website-I'll probably find out there...nice user pic, BTW; I really dig your drawing, girlie!
Okay, I have anther one for you: where is Jeem Smith these days-does anyone know? There's a God from my personal pantheon. And so studly, too. ; )
Speaking of studly: Eddie should star in a remake of "The Love God", in the Don Knotts role, of course! Don't you agree?

Date: 2002-09-10 01:14 pm (UTC)I have this faint, unpleasant sucpicion that if we ever do any more Flash work, I'm going to be shipped up to the Great White North to teach assorted Canadians how to do it right... whee. I'm a Southern dragon, I hate cold!
I've never really ogtten a satisfactory answer as to why the website's gone. I think it mostly involved not paying the hosting bills, then everyone being too busy with R&S to find time for it.
I wish I was doing layout or boards. I'm just a minor functionary of Spümcø - definitely above the interns, occasionally a Flash director and tech guru, but nothing major. I'm learning Premiere (plowing through the entire online manual in another tab of this browser window, in fact) to do animatics. Eventually I'm probably going to end up doing lots of timing stuff, too, as my timing skills have been well-proven with all the Flash work, but for now Vince is slugging out the boards and handing them off to me. I have a layout test lying around that I should have a go at, but I think it'll take a few tries. First I have to spend several solid hours with the model pack. Maybe by the second season... I do have the advantage of being able to get feedback on an in-progress test from the very same people who would be judging it!
My website is woefully un-updated as to what I'm doing. *grin* If you want to see more of my scrawlings there's also the stuff I put on the VCL now and then - a different mix from what's on my website.
Jim is doing boards on R&S; he's as charmingly studly as ever!
