Mm. So that cryptic 'got to move' post - and the more direct no-comments one early today - got a flurry of responses, that helped a lot to keep me from slipping back into the "oh god what'm I gonna do I'm gonna be ALL ALONE and HOMELESS and AAUGH" loops. It's good to feel... less alone, and lost.

The power of networking: while the acquaintance at Cartoon Network I decided to get in contact with didn't have anything or any leads (as I suspected, due to the cycles of the animation industry that I can never synch up to), one of the friends I e-mailed asking for a pointer to him says he might have something. I keep on being afraid that the people down in the animation world in LA will hate me as much as I hated myself then; I hid and was prickly and unlikeable and erratic most of when I did come out of my shell. I'm always surprised when they seem to remember me fondly.

Up, down, up, down... I'll be going through the various replies and responses later this evening, now that my brain's out of panic circles.

So you don't want to, and the offer is probably a bit creepy, but if you really need to I am renting a garage in Palo Alto, have a spare foam bed, and can help prevent any massive emergency. It'd be pretty unpleasant (there's not really room for two people), but it would probably beat having to pay for a motel room you couldn't afford or something.
