Dunno if you've been to Santana Row in San Jose. I dunno if it gives me The Fear, but I feel like an asylum escapee allowed to walk amongst The Beautiful People.

ponderance: mebbe I need to make an icon of Yippee with his back to Los Angeles:

From what I've been told, Santana Row is much the same as the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, which I also re-visited - a faux corporate-sponsored "downtown". I hadn't realized how much of that 3SP is until I've been to real downtowns, finally...

Row of Satan...a.

It's a bit of a cross between a mall and the first three Gotham City sets all kludged together from the 'Batman' movies. The ones that didn't, you know, suck. If you approach it from a purely design and recreational architecture POV, it isn't half as Fear-Inducing.

Think of it as a great big ginormous movie set. Not sure what the movie's about yet, but there's bound to be foul play involved.

I should also mention I spent a few months there as a semi-resident magician, performing on the weekends. Heh.

That reads like a generally fun trip. I would have liked to have seen Wizards and Coonskin, but the airport run took far too long.

I think more issues were re-opened than closed, unfortunately. I'm still letting it all sink in, really.
