...I didn't know that you could embed stylesheets in HTML. But it works. Cool. But only in Safari. Not cool. Ah well.

Also, this is very hypnotic and calming.

I'm glowing, but I'd glow more if I hadn't just taken the test myself. It didn't work, because my brain coughed up the names of reprehensible ex-roommates in the wrong places for some reason.
But what's _Candle_?

It's a song off of Skinny Puppy's final(?) allbum Last Rites.

As with any decent track, the lyrics aren't much alone. It's really worn-out and world-weary in the delivery, but it really reads as hopeful to me.

Hey, Candle's off The Process! ^_^

Hell of a song.

I'll listen once, but will you love me less if I tell you that I find most Skinny Puppy unlistenable? :)

I used to like them an awful lot. They verged into industriwank a bit too often. I really liked "The Process", though, which apparently makes me not a True Fan. I did find the recent "Ogre needs more money for coke" SP album was a total bloody travesty!

(As Turbine noted, the tune is off of The Process, not Last Rites. Tired me.)

Nope! I agree, most of it is pretty unlistenable stuff. It's music to keep yourself out of the gene pool by. It's ugly, broken music, for the most part.

But I like noise. A certain kind of horrible noise. And Puppy delivered that.

Once, I was bicycling through New Orleans. I heard this rhythmic metal-on-metal scraping noise. It had a cool beat. "Is that someone with loud, eccentric tastes?" I wondered. "Or is it just some kind of maladjusted machine?" It turned out to be a garbage truck, working on a dumpster in an alley. I shrugged, and I kept on bopping to the beat until it was out of earshot, lost in the city sounds.

I have 'Strategies Against Architecture II', a 2-cd Einisturzende Neubauten retrospective. I don't have more, that's enough for me, but it's in the random shuffle on the mp3 player along with much saner things.

I like noise.

EN are lovely. Silence is Sexy was my favourite album for a good year or so.

My friend of many decades Tuxedo actually had _The Process_, but only played it in order to make inconvenient or troublesome people leave the room... :)

I am not intolerant of noise, myself. Besides the Clash and the Dead Kennedys, I went through a pretty intense Front Line Assembly phase. I like the more danceable, techno side of industrial quite a bit. Someone told me to listen to Einsturzende Neubauten, but since they professed to like Skinny Puppy and I had already experienced _The Process_, I didn't quite get around to it. :)

That's way cool, and needless to say, Garbage Truck would be a great name for an industrial band. :>

I think mine would've worked better if I hadn't picked titles from Analogue Bubblebath III for the songs. :p

Yeah. I narrowly avoided that sort of thing. Stuff like this is not kind to people who like cryptically-named music with no lyrics.

Of course, the entire lyrics to the song "about my life" are, 'I know water won't affect him, but let's see how he likes this dose of... CARBON DIOXIDE!!!'.

yeah. Signifyin'. Real Signifyin'.

I fucked this up from the very start. Now I have to tell i people for my wish to come true. ;)

Mind you, it had some funny (and odd) results, but when I think about it, it feels more like using "cold reading" techniques than anything.

I think the only one that was really even all that accurate was this statement:
"Set the Controls For the Heart Of The Sun is the song that tells you most about YOUR mind."
I suppose "• and Stratosfierce is the song telling you how you feel about life" was also okay, since that was the song I was listening to when taking the quiz.

Where's the song Spider from?

* My American Cousin is the song that matches with [my SO]. Well, he is American, but... uh. At least it's an instrumental.

* Captain Easychord is the song that tells you most about YOUR mind. "Let live what must live, die what must die." Well, I try to, anyway. Hmm. Maybe they meant the chords rather than the words.

* and Monkey Gone To Heaven is the song telling you how you feel about life. ...oh boy. Right when I was doing my best to be optimistic. Serves me right for not putting in wacky answers. :>

Yeah. Actually, it doesn't show up in Safari, but it showed up in the LJ client's preview window - it uses Safari's engine for the HTML preview.

Curious.
