*thud* nap time

also, I have no damn clue what follows this. What the hell comes after a two-page spread of eldritch calimari from beyond time and sanity?

If you're Hellboy, of course, the answer is "Nazis!" - but I'm already periolously close to that territory.

2-4 more pages of monster-bashing, I guess, and then some kind of twist to bring in the narration at the beginning (just who was saying it, anyway?) and the end, but... ughie. I have no clue right now.

nap.

Enjoy what little sleep you get -- and it looks great so far!

Having aborted my own effort (http://www.tomorrowlands.org/comics/24hr/) around page 13 near the 24-hour mark, I definitely appreciate the magnitude of the work already put in.

@_@ i'm so work addled that all i could see when reading 12/14 and 13/24 was font size / leading :^P

lovely work though.. um.. you could also just do *poof* and have protagonist wake up (all a dream) and get on with the scintillating narrative of getting out of bed and making breakfast.

Apologies if I offend your inspiration sources, but the first thing I saw in the picture was not Lovecraftian tentacle beasts (granted, it's likely because I haven't read enough Lovecraft yet), but rather Vasquezian tentacle beasts. That is to say, the walls bursting out with evilness and horrible tentacles in Johnny the Homocidal Maniac (which, despite its title, has got some good moments).

That said, the tentacle over the girl's left shoulder seems to me to be the faithful tentacle native guide in the land of squid monsters. She's annoyed because it gave her the wrong directions and she's wandered into the Questionably Bad tentacle world instead of the Somewhat Naughty But Generally Nice tentacle world that her upright suckered guide comes from. *nods* Then again, I'm only looking at one page 12.

And you can disregard the last bit, actually most of it, since I did just go back and realize the previous pages were up. I'm just going backwards in LiveJournal time, is all.

Good luck, hope you can finish it off with some semblence of sanity!
Or not, considering the opposite might have a fun effect on the art and storyline.

"Tentacles. Why is it always tentacles."

Eldritch Calamari would make a great band name!

October.
In Japan. :P

Directions off the top of my head:
- After handily defeating X monster, she spots something/someone out of the ordinary (comparatively). Begin mysterious plot crap.
- X monster is unexpectedly difficult, new character suddenly appears to help deal with it.
- X monster is unexpectedly difficult. Monster busts out with cryptic monologue, spewing bits of mysterious plot crap, then is killed/escapes.
