From yesterday, actually. I decided to just edit out the word balloon rather than try to complete it.

Also this Puzzlebox-related scribble. I'm not going to try to explain it, okay?

Nice! Good stuff. Love the angularity.

The second image is the one I like the most of these three. A very nice undersea scene.

I like the first one, it's all creepy but I could see it totally animated somehow too. All the grasping tendrils remind me of the dying god in Princess Mononoke.

I also wanted to take a moment to applaud your current music selection. :-} Gotta love Blue Man Group. I have that album and had seen the Complex tour in concert, they're simply even more excellent live. Which makes me a bit excited that I just snagged the DVD of the Complex tour Live for about ten bucks. *griiiin*
My favorite track on there is White Rabbit and I Feel Loved. (Incidentally, I got Venus Hum's autographs at the concert!)

This is good, because the first one is from one of my slowly-developing cartoon series proposals, about a girl who has God Problems.

I dither back and forth on my opinion of "Complex". Some tracks on it just feel like a horrible attempt to mutate the Blue Man sound (I have 'Audio' as well, and had seen them years ago when they were just a weird-ass performance art ensemble!) into something radio-friendly, others just really work - some as parodies of radio-friendly sounds (like 'What Is Rock'). Their cover of 'Rabbit' is brilliant, and I liked 'Loved' more after I discovered it, too, was a cover - as a Minimal Love Song, I can't help but compare it to Add (N) To X's 'Sheez Mine', which distills the Love Song Formula down to its barest essentials and makes me laugh a lot more.

I admit, I hadn't heard it before the concert. So it sounded extremely cool to me after hearing it all live. Now that I listen to it more...yeah. There's some songs that really work, and some that don't.

I didn't even know that I Feel Loved was a cover either! Until I heard a dance remix in a club that I swore was Venus Hum's voice and BMG background. Searched for the dance mix, and found all the originals and other versions. I like them all, it's kinda a giddy silly happy song.
And I just love Venus Hum. Their music is kinda pop-ish happy joyful vocals mixed with some decent electronica. Perfect for BMG's album.

Also, can't top Venus Hum's main singer during the actual performance of I Feel Loved...she wore an LED dress! Big wide solid dress with cables up the back, it had colored stripe LEDs that lit up in random patterns. Except during the chorus, when they rose and fell like an audio monitor. *grin* Can't beat that.

Hm, you haven't thrown the CD into your computer, have you? "Complex" has a couple videos on it, including one for "Love", where she wears that dress...

I can't understand how you can draw those on the bus...back when I took buses, they lurched about so terribly, no way could I get a decent drawing(not to mention I'd be carsick after a bit, yecch)...now that's line control! The underwater dragon looks esp. good. : )

Well, for one thing, I lay down my lines pretty fast. For another, I do save fiddly little details for when they stop for a light or to let people on and off.

Also, I'm not at all prone to motion sickness. I can read on a bus with no problem, too.

But most of it is just that, well, if you have a bounce every three seconds, say, and you can whip out a line in just one and a half seconds... the bounces don't affect you much. I stop and think, but I whip out each line fairly quickly, for the most part.

Back in college I had a friend who inked on the bus. With Rapidographs. In a fairly fiddly style. I can't see how the hell he ever managed that...
