Today we went to Santa Cruz. Sammi's newly-magenta hair was cool, and I saw a lava lamp the size of my torso. Not some sort of faux lava lampoid thing, this was the real deal; unfortunately it was turned off.

No guesses needed as to who passed through my mind as I touched its cold, inactive, glass curve. Who else?

Also,

I drew something silly that is riffing, ever so slightly, on a planned hair dye experimen.t I'm in the middle of it right now. Itchy itchy itchy bleach. Ow.

Is she venting drive-plasma from her abdomen, there? Because that's pretty sexy.

I would love to see you do some landscape pieces if the inclination ever struck you. Your landscapes always fascinate me almost as much as the characters in them.

Yes, she is! This is the high-velocity Spider configuration, complete with fins on the head for increased visual zippiness. It's a bit clearer with som color added:

Funny, I always freel like my representative backgrounds are one of my weak points. I follow a philosophy based on some of what Frazetta's said about his methods: the bg is laid out to highlight the central point of interest; I think as much in terms of composition as in a particular place. I just scrawl something in terms of lights/darks and leave it when it vaguely givs the impression I want.

(This particular place, however, is Downwarp. Where else would you expect to find a rocket-spider?)

but thank you. *grin*

Grump.

PBX character registration is still ignoring me. I think I followed the directions correctly... I wanna go somewhere with rocket spiders to ride!!

Character registration gets fit into the interstices of [livejournal.com profile] postvixen and [livejournal.com profile] postrodent's lives. Which are occasionally tummultuous.

Not ignoring you. :) We actually quite liked your app. It's just mostly [personal profile] postrodent and me handling all the registration bureaucracy, with a handful of players giving feedback on individual apps. Postrodent's been overworked and I've been sick and overworked, so we're still catching up.

I'm really, really sorry about the delay! We, too, realize this sucks. :) We have already started grumbling about how we need to get the reg system for our ultra-futuristic MUCK out of the 6th century AD. So we'll probably be doing a big overhaul as soon as our RL settles down. If you're anxious to get involved right away, could we fetch you a guest pass?

Oops, er, I mean the big app process overhaul is coming once our RL settles down - but we hope to get through the current batch of apps MUCH sooner, this weekend or soon afterwards.

Nah, it's cool, I can wait. :)

Thanks! Hope your RL goes better.
