premonitions and repurposing
Nov. 26th, 2002 10:11 pmI've had a strange suspicion that, should I log on to Furry as myself, I'd be deluged by pages. Or by someone with a carload of angst looking for a shoulder I'm usually too polite to refuse to provide. Or by... something.
I don't know what makes me feel this, but I've only been on Furry last night and tonight as a secret alt that very few people know of. I'll likely resume my normal self later in the week once this feeling passes.
Meanwhile, last night's gales have acquired a metaphorical image: the summoning of an ancient, immaterial wind elemental from its home far out on the ocean, come to do the bidding of somebody willing to pay whatever its price may be. This might become one of the many event beads on the string of 'Drowning City'. Then again, it may not; it's rather obviously inspired by my reading 'Declare' this weekend, which is about spies and djinni.
