egypturnashSo the ol' PDA was refusing to synch. I was worried. Okay, I could probably get another Visor off of eBay, or something more powerful, for a lot less than I paid for it... but I don't need more power, I just wanted to put this memo on my damn PDA right now. (Besides, I don't think any PDAs since the Visor Edge have nailed the form factor like the Edge does - they're all made for men with big capacious pockets, not women with tiny pockets. A b&w screen, 8 megs, and a 68020 is more than enough for my pocket.)
I tried re-installing the software, didn't work. Then I went to the System Profiler and tried looking for the thing in the listed USB devices - nothing. Replugging, nothing. Finally, an eraser and a little cleaning did the trick - hooray for simple, cheap solutions. Rear end of a $.10 or so #2 Ticonderoga and it works again. I'll have to keep that in mind; the positioning of the docking station is such that it easily accumulates dust...
