"lusty", bonus track
May. 16th, 2004 03:17 pmOther random bits: A guy holding a fertility totem over Ken and I and saying something about spring ritual/etc that had the main point of 'hey you two, kiss!". We kinda looked at each other, shrugges, I hugged him, he pecked my cheek. It was quite chaste. Not somewhere either of us has any interest in going. But another point on the "oh, I pass" scale.
Armor/weapon shops, tarot readers, perfume shops, folks roaming about in character. Girls with bodices or corsets so extreme that their breasts were up on a shelf. Determining that I really need more cleavage before I can really do renfaire right.
And I fooled around with Photoshop on one picture I hadn't included before.

This was at a booth selling wall hangings made of plaited wheat; some were quite interesting semi-abstracts. There was a strong Pagan vibe to 'em; the ones I'm looking at were mostly a set of three aspects of the Goddess, maiden/mother/crone. In fact, there was a definite Pagan undertone to the whole faire, unsurprisingly; at one point a pair of women passed by, with a long loosely-woven cloth band connecting one's wrist to another - I presumed they might have recently had a handfasting ceremony at Faire.
Photo, as before, by
ultraken, my cropping and abusing.
Also, note silly new playing-with-transparency icon. Yay for real alpha blending.
