Art therapy:

Weird mood and things to think about + an old little scribble in my sketchbook + AI = art.

link because I think they block image src'ing.

What caused the weird mood? If you don't know, well... maybe I'll talk about it in a few days.

There was really a sense of buildup there as I was scrolling down, quietly dismissed. I liked it though.

Buildup is best when it's dismissed in unexpected ways, I think. The image just felt like it needed to be alone in a large space...

Poses a lot of questions, that. And I agree with the person above; this reads like an animation background taken out of context, meaning that here, in a small window, the "camera" pans downward, giving us a moment of pause before we get to themain subject, which is very cool. If seen printed out or in thumbnail, that sense of movement might persist, or might be lost.

The canted background is either shadow, ot a suggestion that it or the figure is out of place. And is that a noose hanging from the shade? Suggestion that either something is about to happen or just has and she's now walking around? Or perhaps, and more likely, I'm reading far too much into this? :"D

Starting on the cresent moon and star, I at first expected the image to be something about Islam. It was interesting to look at the image in this context and be momentarily taken aback by the bare shoulders of the woman.

It wasn't intended, but it's certainly serindipitous. I think I realized there'd be motion when I actually picked a size for it; I do like the seduction of the viewer into the piece that frobbing the scrollbar creates. When I Am King is a webcomic that really relies on this involvement for its appeal.

Sure it's shadow? It might be light cast from afar.

The thing on the shade is supposed to be a pull-ring for the cord. But who can tell - maybe she's a ghost; I'd played with some spooky gradients but ultimately left her almost entirely flat-color.

This was done with a lot of weird undercurrents in the back of my head, so read into it what you will.
