The other day I stopped by Spümcø to grab a copy of that damnable 'Boo Boo And The Man' cartoon for reel purposes. I grabbed some of the personal detritus from my desk, but not all of it. Included in this were the vast majority of the things I doodled on Post-its.

They take up five pages in the back of my sketchbook, stuck on with their own dust-coated gumminess and little bits of tape. A year or more of little idle boredom doodles, including a few left on my desk by others. Here they are.

Somehow I feel like there should be more. I dunno. Being a minion at Spümcø all last year was peculiar and often depressing.

Could be the basis for a novella / memoir there...

Aiiie! It's been for EVER since I saw a 'Deeah Mum' letter. If there's an online source, boy would I be pleased.

I'm not sure I do, any more. Like many things, the romance of cartoons pales when you've seen them from inside.

Rather much like sausages, I suppose. :)

(Or games, or movies, or politics, or much anything.)

As regards games, well.. no, I enjoyed every minute of working on The 11th Hour (a comparatively prehistoric title; don't worry if you've not heard of it). Although, listening to certain sections of the FMV for the four hundred and thirty eighth time did become slightly wearing. But then, maybe it was just an unusual company.

When one is churning them out like hot dogs, it's difficult to see the glamor. Still, as small as this sample is, it's a useful insight into the wonders of a bored cartonist's mind.
