I woke up with a headache and slept until 2. It may have been something in the air; I noticed there was no mountain view today.
Not too long after getting up, I went out to the art store to get some board for quick and dirty print mounting for Foolscap - all I need is some Saran wrap, and they'll be ready for the print bin in the art show. On the way back we passed by Molly Moon's, so I got strange ice cream and enjoyed it. This evening I'm theoretically going to get together with the jacqls and go see "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs", which got a cynical thumbs up from John K the other day.
Whenever the clerks at art stores ask for a store card or student ID, I have none to produce. Yet about 75% of the time they shrug and scan the discount card behind the register. I wear the uniform of an artist, I suppose.
Being on the West Coast makes me happy in a way that being in Boston does not. I suppose part of it is nostalgia for when I lived in LA - not entirely a happy time, but a hopeful time, when I was trying to start my art career for the first time.
