The flight was its usual tedious self. Nothing amazing, just a half a day in the netherworld of airports and planes. I got selected for intense screening - in theory - but in practice, well, I didn't get anything more than I ever do normally. Weird.
rossumcapek and his wife picked me up from the airport, as my my mom had other plans for the day she'd already made before I got these tickets. We had a really tasty lunch (ee, I'm gonna end up fatter this week) and then Cat went home to nap, while Mischa and I hit the coffee shop to rendezvous with his friend Kat with his still-in-the-shrinkwrap copy of Race for the Galaxy. Which got the first-game-turns-into-three-in-a-row enthusiastic response our home had, which made me happy.
And then I got to my Mom's place and took a much-needed shower.
The plan is to surprise my grandmother with a visit from her grandson tomorrow. The rest... will be played by ear. I'm hoping to do some Jazz Fest with Jason and Jennie, and get a chance to hang out with
doctorpinkerton. And maybe
rossumcapek again as well. It all depends on if I have a funeral to schedule around.
