There's this one guy at Spümcø. Once you get him started in an argument, he attempts to win it by repetition - he will state the same idea over and over and over, stepping on other people's attempts to rebuff his hazy points and imaginings. There's a bit of spectacle involved; any argument involving him tends to gather half the office after about fifteen or twenty minutes.

I think a lot of hassle and time would be saved around here if everyone just started using three words more often: "Shut up, Amid!"

Gets the same message across & doesn't sound as rude to outside parties.

He refuses to acknowledge it when it's said politely - his idea of winning an argument (and any conversation with him inevitably becomes one) is when everyone else just throws up their hands in disgust and walks away.

I didn't say you should be polite when you yell "Enough!" in his face, I just said it wouldn't sound *as rude* to anyone not involved in the conversation/arguement. No part of etiquette states that you have to continue to be polite to a rudesby.
