According to Part 2 of that secret crush meme, five people said they wanted me when the original secret crush meme rolled around, and one person said they used to want me, but no longer did at the time of the meme.
*shrug* Okay. Anyone wanna own up, then, and profess their carefully-stifled desire for me? *grin* Thought not! And I'm not curious enough to PayPal the guy who wrote it four bucks.
Stayed at home today, things are reeeally slow at work lately. Went out to buy a few things: a blank sketchbook, as the current one's got four or five pages left, a cheap chain to attempt to put something on, and a phono->mini plug adapter because I dug out the old, reasonably decent, big headphones and can't find the adapter to be able to actually use 'em. On the way back home, I stopped in a 7-11 for a drink and boggled at a headline - not only are workers at the major SoCal grocery chains on strike, but now MTA mechanics are on strike, which essentially means no buses until it's resolved! Lovely! Good thing I didn't try to hop on the bus this morning! I guess I'll be bicycling to Spümcø later this week... this will only somewhat suck, as it's no longer the middle of summer. I need more exercise anyway.
Attempting to put the former keychain dangle Pokemon on a necklace didn't quite work; it's back is too round to lie against my chest facing out. If I had more cleavage it could snuggle cutely between my boobs, but I'm not exactly what you'd call buxom and never will be. Oh well. Maybe a longer necklace? Maybe. Just a silly experiment anyway.
Also, while I was out, my hair got shouted comments from in-car and across-the-street passers-by. Even though it's a total mess. Short and pink just works, I guess.
In the mall where I went for two of the things I wanted, I passed the Disney store. They have several displays of Disney heroine costumes, each on their own little rack with a big card above saying 'Whooooooooo do you want to be? (photo of young girl in costume) I want to be Snow White!". And I wanna know, where's the Maleficient costumes? Hmf. Nothing for future Queens of the Night to wear!
Now, I shall sprawl on the couch and attempt to create some pencil sketches of pulp horror action monster girl, and pass the best through AI, for possible presentation to the Sci-Fi channel as a show proposal... (no joke. The Ralph Bakshi noir SF thing fell through, but Sci-Fi is still interested in working with Spümcø on something. Told us a little of what they wanted. I spun something up based on that; first I need to get it by other Spümcø folks, then...)

Erm... and now I feel really awkward and am going to go and hide now. *blush*

Date: 2003-10-15 09:13 am (UTC)That, and a surprisingly large number of people missed that meme entirely, including several that I figured out later I would have 'matched up' with had they not missed the meme.

Date: 2003-10-14 08:34 pm (UTC)I even have the system spellchecker configured to accept "Spümcø" as properly-spelled, though unfortunately it doesn't offer it as a proper spelling if I'm lazy and type it without the accents.
