Forgive me for being so behind in technology, and I'm probably wrong and I'm missing something obvious, but... if it's as easy as 1-2-3, why are there 4 additional steps?
In the context of the web page it makes a little more sense; the little 1-7 callouts are explained in the text. But that headline sure doesn't work with the graphic!
You know, back in the early 90's I knew all about every little Mac gadget that came out. I was about as "hip" and "with it" as I was ever gonna be. And my PowerPC 9600 was top of the line (for about 3 months). Nowadays... argh. I'm missing all the cool stuff! I can't keep up!
Ah, well, I guess if I knew everything I was missing (and can't afford) I'd be a lot unhappier... I suppose ignorance is bliss.

I've heard stories that Jobs was and is a real dick, and blatantly screwed over Woz early on. If Gates hadn't become the designated sink for geek hatred, Jobs probably would have ended up in that role. Jobs is much more of a control freak, even when it's actively counterproductive.
