Mom: "Scratching, biting...what kind of relationship is this, anyway? You'll be breaking out the whips and chains next!"
Me: *silence during which I try not to giggle*
Mom: "Your silence speaks volumes."
Me, a little later: "We don't actually use whips. Not enough room."
