It's been a while since I did one of these. I was so caught up in the show, then in recovering from it, that not much art happened.

I dunno if Hester will ever get to wear this on-camera in Absinthe. We'll see.

I can't remember if I've mentioned how fooling with my hormones cause my brian to stop working properly when I'd try to concentrate for a couple months. Especially while drawing. It was frustrating, and kind of scary, because I wasn't certain it'd come back; the prospect of having to re-learn half of how to draw was not exactly fun.

Thinking about a costume idea. Will require access to plastic fabrication tools galore.

More costume, obviously.

Nick's old lavavixen character - he told me about this silly description and I drew it.

This is Titanium Blue 40, from Fluorocrash. It's one of Nick's stories and is probably going to be the next comic we do after Absinthe.

Another Fluorocrash character: Dr. Chao.

So before I sat down to draw one day I was reading this collection of James Blaylock's short stories. This is a passing image in the cited story that caught my mind and wanted to be drawn. I kinda like the weirdly broken perspective; it undulates. (The collection is actually called 13 Phantasms and other stories; Paper Dragons is just one of the stories in it.)

Coooool costume ideas. There's a lot of vacuforming plans on the net - I'm told most work better with a vacuum-tank rather than, say, a shop-vac, but shop-vacs are quite adequate if you take your time.

(Pls remind boyfriends, if you do set up a vacuforming array, that they are not to try laminating themselves. Thermoplastics are your friend, but not when they're scaldingly hot. n.n)

Also, Kincade/TB-40/Dr. Chao? Hawt. Nice work.

I think I should tattoo step number 2 onto my forearm.

Dr. Chao looks like a really nice guy. n.n

You'd think he would be, wouldn't you! Well, he sure thinks he is. And people seem to agree! Not much a spoiler, really.

Argh, curse you and your fancy-pants web sorcery, Peggy! It's OK, the e-mail notification would've probably ruined it anyhow. Like I said, not much of a spoiler. :)
