King of Pentacles

Air of Fire.

As I noted in my sketch, this one turned into a Munchausen kind of thing. Four more left!

edit: Oh yeah, I should note that the suit of Pentacles is now completely done - not just finished for the show, but entirely done with, since it's the only one I actually finished the 99 for! The other suits are all one Court and a 99 away from total completion.

Enough cards have piled up that I'm wondering if I'm going to bother going back and putting them on FA when it gets up.

I'm seriously digging the motif of dragons in the pentacle suit, especially tying all the court cards together.

It's to remind the viewer that the suit is about, in part, fire! If you look at the rest of the Pentacles court, you'll notice that they all have a dragon tattoo - except for the Prince, who I guess is just too young for symbolic ink. It just didn't look right on him - I might try to add it for the final version, though.

That's part of what I liked about the suit, yes. :-}

The little Prince doesn't have a tattoo, but he could have colored on himself with magic marker, like he's drawing on the walls (or at least, on pages on the walls). To be like the big folk. :-}
