...huh. That thing that Zarf was working on to do netplay. ...Interesting, but the supported games are -weird-.

I know the guy behind this ([livejournal.com profile] prog). Yay for the spread of Volity. :)

Truly awesome ideas, somewhat dodgy games. :) Now that I am a respectable member of society, maybe I'll finally break down and learn a little coding so I can help fix that...

Looney Labs. Gag me with an icehouse pyramid. ;)

Yeah, knowing [livejournal.com profile] prog, it was a combination of him being a big Looney Labs fan, and Looney Labs likely being perfectly willing to provide rights to the games for such purposes.

Hmm, I guess OTOH there are some things about Looney Labs games that make them especially good for this sort of thing. They're simple, they have streamlined mechanics, they're good "casual game" fodder -- I guess, really, they're better material for online gaming than, say, the 9783rd new "mahjong" or Match 3 variant.

Did we ever make you play Gnostica in the old days -- the one with the tarot deck and the Icehouse pieces? That *was* one LL game I really, really liked.

Also, we need to have a gaming night sometime! We lust after your Illuminati set, and you'll lust after Race for the Galaxy once you've played it. It's SO good.

I don't think I've played Gnostica yet.

And yes yes yes to Gaming Night. Maybe it can be part of the housewarming once I'm in my new place in a couple months, since my roomie-to-be is also a big gamer (heck, the first time I saw his current apartment, he'd dragged me over to play Space Hulk).
