2 of Pentacles

Strength, domination, boldness, courage, shamelessness. The swiftness of lightning.

I keep wondering if I should be doing these without a border. Modern printing and cutting methods can manage this pretty accurately, if what I see in the games we buy is any guide. This one, especially, has a lot more impact without anywhere to rest your eyes. Every card image goes all the way out to the edge of the area underneath the border already; deciding to go borderless is just a day's worth of loading in all the files, turning off the borders, and tweaking the corner markings to contrast. This one originally had some buildings in the background, but they got left out: they interrupted the expanse of twitchy visual energy.

Also, this is the halfway mark. I have done 39 of the 78 cards.

(There will be some touch-up on existing ones, possibly even one or two I'll completely re-do - and there's also the four 99s and two extra Fools, of which I've just done one 99 - but I am, essentially, halfway through.)
