egypturnashI'm finally reading the manual for Textmate. I really need to hack up a quick reference card or something so I can start learning some of its shortcuts beyond the obvious ones - it's got a lot of lovely little touches that I need to get out of my head and into my fingertips.
If you have a Mac and regularly write text in any markup language, or any programming language, you really should check it out; it's what I use for pretty much all my web/code work. Yeah, it cost money, versus using one of the several text editing options included with the OS (textedit/xcode/emacs-in-a-terminal-window), but it was money well spent - even without really delving into its power, all my text editing for the past year or so has been really free of worrying about the editor's interface.
