A second illustration (the first was this) for The Whole 9's monthly newsletter. The theme was 'varying amounts of sexuality'.

The other sketches were a lot more decadent. Ask me to celebrate sexuality and I will. I'm halfway tempted to put one or the other through AI for myself, but another month's gone by without me so much as touching Five Glasses of Absinthe...

I was also the subject of an interview in this one. Mostly it's just a bunch of Trans 101 questions, so I don't think you'll pick up anything new about me unless you didn't know already. Obviously I need to learn something about giving good interviews. Actually having projects to pimp in them would help too. Ah well.

Oh, also, the color printer Nick ordered arrived today.

There's an extra panel but it's a tall and slim one; the sketches are both in this wide, squat format. And I'm not sure they were decadent enough for Absinthe - I was holding way back in both!

That interview is almost endearingly clueless in places! Her heart was clearly in the right place, though, so I can't really fault her for a couple of faux pas.

'Knows nothing but curious and willing to learn' is far and away my favorite reaction to the gender thing!

Also, I am sitting here with a big box of printer in front of me. Thought you might wanna know.

Awesome, I was tempted to call and ask but I didn't want to pester you again! If you can't resist the urge to plug it into something... NOT YOUR BUTT... I don't mind if you open it up and fool with it! It belongs to all three of us as far as I'm concerned! Consider it the wages of your awesomeness.

Also, while I'm here, work is a bit of a clusterfuck today. I'm not in a bad mood over it in the slightest, but a late/all-nighter is looking pretty likely. :( The upshot is that I'll probably stick for much of tomorrow and have all Friday off as your escort if it all goes will. Miss you. <3

I'm less paranoid than some people get about releasing clean, un-watermarked art into the wild, but I think 3200x800 is somewhere past my 'man, people could print that right out' threshold. o.O;

That actually made me rather nostalgic for when we first met Peggy, because it's so obviously a shot from California -- it may actually have been one I took myself, I can't remember. One look and I was back on the streets of Sunnyvale with her, going to the convenience store for awful junk food. :)

Where are we going to put the printer anyway? My first thought is "on the top shelf of my desk", but that makes it awkward to get to, and I have no idea whose compy we're connecting it to anyway. Should we put it in the studio and make an effort to clean that up, make it more of a workspace? I'm well enough to assist with that project now.

I'm thinking 'top shelf of your desk' myself. Nick and I have laptops so we can just plug into it, you don't. And I dunno if it's a good idea to store the inks &c in a room that's as cold as the snowy outdoors most of winter!

Congrats on surviving the interview mostly unscathed! Yeah, I hate doing Trans 101. I usually just send people over to Gunner's site.
Anyhow, with all the work you're doing, it sounds like we really need to drag you out to a party/event of your choosing in order to celebrate "Peggy Needs A Stress Break Today!"

Am I just sleepy or are the colors off slightly?

And congratulations on the good press!

Yeah, they re-jpeged the thing for their own purposes. Onea these days I'll figure out how to avoid color shifts in the future.
