So I was sitting around stressing out about not being able to get going on my rough for the Wildcat deck - the finished art's due this weekend, and one thing and another led to me cutting it a little close to the wire. I'd ruled out my borders, gathered reference, but I just couldn't sit down and draw.

Finally, I put that page aside and just doodled whatever swooshy messy crap came to mind, and then I drew the white tiger.

But before I drew the tiger, I came up with a pitch for Adult Swim. Mook Force! Wheezy old men, whose legs are so short that they totter around like angry, arthritic old penguins! The best thing about it is that if I hired the right people, we could shit out storyboards by just digging in their piles of old Post-It doodles of ugly, angry men! And even if we didn't, a board would still just be a matter of sitting around with bad movies and beer, and trying to top each others' drawings of ugly men! It just makes itself.

And then, after a lot of delirious (and completely sober) giggling at Mook Force and the possibilities inherent in it, I sat down and drew this here white tiger. Tomorrow it goes through Illustrator. I guess I slacked off on drawing it because I know how stupidly fast I am in AI these days, even with something complex like this.

After reading about how inbred white tigers are - they're all descended from one white tiger caught in the wild - and seeing some photos of the more egregiously inbred cubs while i did the research for this drawing, I really feel embarassed on behalf of all mankind. Come to our zoo and see the RARE WHITE TIGER!
