Also, thanks to Rik for helping me out on a reference photo for the lower hands. That's just not a pose you can see your own hands in without a mirror or a camera!
My sketches are pretty messy, in general. I thought they were pretty clear, for stuff not intended for any eyes other than mine - but I guess not!
That's definitely an image I might use somewhere else, though. Maybe one of the cards I'm re-working, or maybe in a number card whose message is appropriate. This has ended up being less SF than I originally expected, and I'd like to get a little of that back in.
I had this one mostly done last night, but was fighting the hands. Seven years of using AI as my primary medium means I just don't have to think about what I'm doing any more.
I'm so dyed into using Photoshop 5.5 that I can't even upgrade. Using CS or PS7 destroys my workflow, everyone will be using 8-core processors with terabytes of RAM and I'll still be using Photoshop 5.5.
I can imagine, given how much they like to change the UI. Same with me and versions of Flash >5 - which won't run on my current machine without heroic measures.
I'm lucky that Adobe hasn't tried "fixing" AI's interface, so I get to keep reasonably current...
