A lot of Kin's social circle seems to be moving to Seattle. We've been kicking it around as a moving destination ourselves for a while.

I am an antisocial little bitch by nature anyway, but... who's living around there that I might want to go hang out and draw with?

There's *lots* of arty folks (and otherwise) in the Seattle area, but I don't feel that it is my place to speak for them and say 'XXX lives here!'

Me, I'm about an hour north on a five-acre plot that need more sprucing up than I ever seem to get around to. You could come visit and draw my horse :)

There's a good number of people up there to hang out with and many even do artsy stuff. I go up there once or twice a year to hang out and have fun. I can't really guess where your social circles would run, though, so I can't really list names, but there's a fairly decent furry community up there.

[livejournal.com profile] tracerj and [livejournal.com profile] krdbuni will be moving out there soonish unless something drastically unfortunate happens. Plus, you can drive south down to The Evergreen State College to find all sorts fo weird artists and free thinkers.

Kristy's transfer was basically the trigger event. :)

That's about what I thought actually. This bums me out because all my long time friends are or will be out on the west coast and I'm stuck out here another couple of years in Philly.

Portland is only 3 hours away (at least when you've got lead-foot Texans like us driving). Amtrak's train from Portland to Seattle is very nice, too.

I'm a lead-footed Californian (with a rediculously light plastic car), does that count? :-}

It was about 3 hours and change for me, too, last time I drove it.

I'm just across the lake from Seattle. I am also an antisocial little bitch--we could practice our socialization skills together! ^o^

I'm not there yet, but I plan on being there as soon as I am able to do so (For obvious reasons) and be gainfully employed in education.

If you and Kin and Rik moved to Seattle, I'd have to restrain myself from driving up every other weekend. Despite being 3 hours away in Portland.

That's a fair sight more awesome than several thousand miles! ^_^

Nice fun place. Lots of hills.
