A few times, Sammi did something silly, and played the Voice of Los Angeles, a Raddled Old Vampire Whore of a City, Welcoming me Back.
If a city has a spirit, LA's not one it'd be wise to channel, in my opinion. It's a place fed on broken dreams and bound in concrete. It can't be a healthy thing.

Date: 2005-05-02 12:38 am (UTC)West LA... not so much. Beverly Hills? No. Hollywood? Certainly not. But downtown, eastside and outlying areas? Beautiful. It's the city of murals, of old spanish buildings and FL Wright... there's a heart and a culture there that most people don't see, when they talk about "LA".
