Finished pages 8 and 9 - no scan. I took a break for dinner and definitely need to catch up! But the pasta's weighing in my belly, telling me to sleep, sleep, sleeeeeep...

...caffeine.

While thinking about the next two pages and trying to tell Morpheus to bugger off I scanned after all.

Ach, I don't envy you at all; my two 24-hour comics were life-destroying experiences. But for what it's worth, I'm rooting for you!

...and a short nap can work wonders, when the time comes.

Life destroying in what way?

Hiyas?

I tried this challenge also, I succeeded (http://www.livejournal.com/users/koogrr/161942.html). It's been really educational, it's certainly changed a few things for me.

I'm still really curious though, how was yours life destroying?

Well, I suppose I was being glib and over-dramatic; I just wished I was dead around hour 14.

My first 24-hour attempt's experience was both awesome and terrible in equal amounts; I wanted to give up, but was able to pull through and finish the story with five minutes to spare (albeit in only eleven pages), and I was very happy with the results.

My second attempt was just all-around terrible, with the coup de grace being the food poisoning I got halfway through; Scott McCloud never warned me about the dangers of pre-roasted chickens.

But, way to go on your success! I totally appreciate what it must have taken for you to get through it, at least physically.

These are so totally cool. Especially the 'blah blah blah' section :)

What's this 24 hour comic thing?

Peggy posted a link to the Scott McCloud's original idea around page 5 of the story. The idea is to do a 24-page comic in 24 hours as an exercise in creativity and speed. It's been a popular idea in comics for years.
