bus doodles

A discussion I had with
doctorpinkerton on the previous bus doodles entry inspired a comics fragment in my sketchbook today.

This owes so much to Matt Howarth's Savage Henry that it's insane. Aggressively experimental music that rips holes through time and space, draws the attention of Elder Gods, destroys monsters - this is a pretty typical story arc for that comic. My choice to skip over the 'exciting sonic battle' is mostly my own sense of rhythm and tantalization, however. Or maybe I was just lazy.
The dialogue on the second page doesn't quite work, but there were space issues due to doing it with absolutely no planning, just floating ideas. I wanted to have the guitarist say something that implied her girlfriend was left with alien appendages for a while as a result of the first-ever accidental summoning, but there wasn't room.
Also, in case you can't read the first page:
"Oops. You said you just fixed this place up, too."
"Just KEEP PLAYING! The RADIO TERRORSCOPE should make short work of this tentacular intrusion!"
Comics are fun. I should, like, do some for real.

Recall, I was once accused of being Prof. Ed's intern.
