Whipped out for Yerf Trading Post #52, the sekrit satan one. I got a skateboarding grafitti-loving fox-wolf. The fox-wolf part did little for me, so I just riffed on the rest.

(bandwidth: Yerf)

AI, no special tricks. The weird shading is an attempt to borrow some conventions of tagging and use them for my own ends. I think it could use more arrows...

Very nice! Particularly given what you had to work with...

The clouds could always be arrows.. fluffy rounded arrows.. but that'd nix the juxtaposition between the curves and the arrows. I like it. That and the paws against the skateboard being the same color, works well.

You are so good with the efficient+stylish cutting out of the limited-color shapes.

Do an arrow tutorial!

I like the overall flow of the body and I like the non-circular use of wheels. I have a tough time convicing myself to draw them as anything but perfect circles though I know this a bad habit.

The cloudy brown area in the bottom right I'm not as sold on. Also, if I stare at the wheels too long I get confused on their perspective (although this gives them even more motion in a way and is probably why you did it. :) Not my favourite of your works but I really like the energy in it!

*blink* Perspective? What's perspective?

Just more rules to gleefully break, once you know them. I mean, the board's shaped more like the sole of a shoe than a skateboard.

The color scheme is not so much completed as abandoned. This was a quickie.

On an unrelated note

In case you hadn't heard, I thought you might like to know what's in development over at SciFi channel:

"AMAZING SCREW-ON HEAD: From HELLBOY creator Mike Mignola comes an ongoing half-hour animated comedy about a U.S. government robot that screws his head on to a variety of bodies to fight bad guys. Bryan Fuller (DEAD LIKE ME) will write the pilot and Jason Netter will supervise the animation."

Wonderful use of design and form. Reminds me of someone I saw last time I was at Venice Beach.
