just saying
Nov. 21st, 2009 06:40 pmOkay, this is the second time Time Machine has saved me some sanity. I have a piece in progress with multiple panels, all sketched out in AI. And I noticed that one of the panel sketches was missing - at some point I'd accidentally selected all with that layer unlocked, deleted, and saved.
So I went to the file and brought up Time Machine, and after digging around in old versions a bit, I was able to recover that sketch.
Having a wholly automated backup system with a really simple UI for digging out old versions kicks ass. If you have a Mac and don't have an external drive, get one and say "yes" when it asks you to use it for backups, it will save your butt somewhere down the line.
