I was planning to finish the Plausibly Deniable project, but discovered that the large, complicated stencils I'd cut yesterday refused to lay flat today. So fuck it - I've spent a week fiddling with this thing; I'll just suffer having that eyesore pile of Obey Giant crap in the middle of Harvard Square. I've got other stuff to do. I'm kinda pissed off at this thing failing, but hell, it was the first time I'd ever tried a big spray-paint stencil, and probably the last.

Like Absinthe, which I haven't managed to touch because I spent all last week at the day job, doing endless fidgety things. I don't feel like I got a damn thing done there, and having this week's silly project fall apart means the whole week is one of getting nothing done, which sucks majorly.

Things are, at least, starting to get nailed down for the winter project: I'll be going down to Louisiana to direct a Fleischer-style music video in December and January. I'll miss the boyfriends a lot, but I won't miss the snow. Sadly it'll be in Lafayette, not New Orleans, but I'll probably manage to get into the city now and then. I hope.

This, of course, means that I probably won't be launching the first chapter of Absinthe at the end of the year. Hopefully I can clear out most of the rest of this month to get some sort of serious progress done on it; it'd be awesome to at least finish the pencilling. Absinthe was supposed to be a quick project but it kept on getting more and more grandiose. I really need to stop doing that.
