Most of the time these Tarot cards work on the first try. But sometimes they don't:


Both of these are the 6 of Pentacles. I drew the one on the left late at night, before going to bed; I was tired and I think it shows. Yesterday I sat down with my references and tried it again, considering what I felt the various card descriptions were trying to say. I reused a lot of the same elements in a very different, and, I think, much stronger, image - the Leo/Saturn associations are much more slyly front-and-center, and it feels much more triumphant and celebratory.

Last week, my boyfriend got a new laptop (thanks to read_alicia): a refurb Dell, red with silver trim. He named it 'Kirschbär' and asked if I'd draw a butch red jelly android raccoon girl to be its initial background image.

A single-image break from the rapid pace of Tarot cards was kinda welcome, so I sketched it out today, then met up with him at Diesel and did most of the AI on this. Finished it off tonight. It was kind of nice to prove that, yes, I do still like drawing these animal-head people despite my current project.

Also we bought an imperial fuckton of granola today, hooray!
