Okay, I was originally just going to share this link with Rik, but it makes me grin enough that I have to share it further. It's the soundtrack to a PC shoot-em-up with the delightfully stupid name of "Jets 'N Guns', and it's all a mad hybrid of chip tunes and hair metal.

There's more bleepy music for the downloading on monotonik.com - have a look about. A lot of it has a hint of 8-bit retro flavor to it, and many of the people involved were doing the 8-bit retro thing before it was hip - the site comes out of the Amiga demo scene world.

from [livejournal.com profile] glashund: "List five songs that you are currently digging ... it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words or even if they're any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artist and the song in your blog along with your five songs. Then tag five other people to see what they're listening to."

This is kinda hard. I haven't been listening to anything in particular, lately, just whatever iTunes serves up at random from my collection...

1. Animal (Gate), from Front 242's 05:22:09:12 Off. When I look in the mirror, all that I see/is a zoo animal that wants to be free...
2. Consumed, from Plastikman's Consumed.
3. Fish, by Mr. Scruff, from the Ninja Tune sampler Funkungfusion.
4. Turn It On (Bound 'n' Gagged mix), from The Creatures' U.S. Retrace ep.
5. The Crime Scene, from Barry Adamson's The King of Nothing Hill.

I sneeze this meme upon [livejournal.com profile] prickvixen, [livejournal.com profile] postrodent, [livejournal.com profile] crackjackal, [livejournal.com profile] doctorpinkerton, and [livejournal.com profile] icy_dessert.
