I got the new version. Yay. About to install. Think happy thoughts.

Well, it's running now. There was a scary moment when it didn't transfer over any of the existing users, but then I just booted off of the CD, enabled root access (which I need to turn off!), duplicated my home directory and recreated my account. I need to install some stuff like the Wacom driver but other than that it looks okay. Foo.

Also I need to get Privoxy running again. Running.

Wacom driver's up YAY no more using a BAR OF SOAP

Ashy picked up the big paper bag from the Apple store and put it on her head, hiding one arm in it. She looked like the forgotten Fifth Resident, and refused to let me take a photograph. I need my own digital camera.

The 'Exposé' feature is cute, a nice idea slickly implemented, but it doesn't give me the screaming orgasms that it seems to be giving some people. I've never been prone to that, though, not from computers.

Copied over my Brickhouse-generated firewall rules - they're twistier than the ones the system firewall panel will let you generate, with things like 'don't let certain programs phone home'.

Not this time... I waited until the next day then just walked into the store!

Please let us know how the Wacom driver is working, that is very important.

The feature that I most dearly want is the Active Directory integration. That might actually keep Macs on campus from going extinct.

Works perfectly. It was just a matter of re-installing it because I did an 'archive old system, do clean install' - so the Wacom driver wasn't in the new system.

I have no clue how the Active Directory integration works, because the only networking I do at home is the occasional file copy over to [livejournal.com profile] prickvixen's PC.
