distracting nasty noise

egypturnashYesterday I annoyed Ashy by playing Eigenradio at loud volumes in the morning.
Today, I am at work. I am abusing stuff in Photoshop while I have a pair of headphones on, and the mp3 player tuned in.
It's just so... calmingly annoying. Every now and then far-off music coalesces out of the throbbing metallic noises. It kind of reminds me of the time Gabe and I experimented with conflicting music - he put on a cd of Yogi Bear stock tracks, and I put on Arcane Device's "Trout". We carefully adjusted the volumes to match. Yogi music is pretty much constant volume, but the ambient feedback music ebbs and flowed, sometimes a subtle drone beneath the circus sounds, sometimes rising up and overhwelming it. It was fascinating.
