Weird dreams.

Lying in bed with several other people watching a video tape of a presentation of a comic book. I can't remember what the comic was about, but it was in B&W. And being shown on a TV set into the wall. It was something about... um... damn. It's flown.

Before this was something about going to a semi-remote section of Los Angeles to look up a relative I didn't know I had. I rode the very tiny bus out there - mercifully the bus ride was edited into just a few scenes - although this area looked more like Metairie than something found in Los Angeles. When I got to the end of the line I was in the center of the town this person lived in. Then I discovered I'd left the notes with things like their address back at home, so I stepped through a dimension warp to my place and dug up the info. (If only I could have done that last night; I left my wallet on my desk, and only realized this after I'd gotten off the subway [LA's subways work on the honor system, with random checking by transit cops] and was making my way to the bus connection.)

After the video tape of the comic book show was an interlude on a lonely road in the desert. There was a burned-out car with two semi-crisped, but possibly sill alive people in it. One of them may have been the star of the show I was watching. They were unconscious, if they were alive. Several scientists, or at least people dressed like the media cliché of scientists (white lab coat) were running around, investigating this car. They were all going 'DOOOOOOOOOO' at approximately the same pitch, creating a wavering drone of human voice through this. They dragged the car forwards, thudding on its burst tires; somehow this brought one investigator to a conclusion, and he began scribbling a few words on a chalkboard. He then explained that the proper thing to say to these people (who were not showing any signs of revival) was something in Spanish. He was groping for the Spanish translation of what I can only remember as being a thoroughly nonsensical phrase.

Then the alarm jerked me awake.

Poking at the computer, waking it up from its sleep, debating if I wanted to document that dream, I reloaded the comments page for the last entry (still open in a tab of the web browser) and was immediately amazed by the number of people going 'oooh! pretty!' at my teasing photos of pinkness. *blush* I feel pretty! Now if I could just figure out how to get the hair to hang down straight as a matter of course, instead of drying out into a poofly mop...

That bit about the burned out car is unsettling.
